Chat & Forum Checklist

Kimbilio is to be a graphic chat based off of the great continent of Africa and every creature on it. This chat and forum are to showcase the wildlife of Africa, as well as providing fundraisers for conservation of this continent's endangered flora and fauna and insight into the lives and cultures of the human inhabitants.

Many rooms based off of deserts, savannas, watering holes, jungles, caves, oases, lava fields, mountains, abandoned villages, pyramids, etc. There are endless possibilities. Africa is a vast place with many different biomes.

A web address for Kimbilio needs to be secured. (Eyeballing kimbilio.net)

General Timeline:

1. Basic site outline - Regarding pose sets, rooms, lore, forum, etc.
   
2. Organize forum categories and boards - Basic setup before applying art. Appropriate categories, subforums, and archives along with board descriptions and appropriate sticky topics.
   
3. Secure web address - kimbilio.com, kimbilio.net, etc. Whichever is available. Attach it to chat and forum links.
   
4. Secure a chat platform - Chatlands makes the most sense.
   
5. Recruit and construct a staff team - Hire potential administrators. Needing specialties in things such as tech support, forum moderation, chat and/or forum coding, etc. Also looking for creators to assist in projecting Kimbilio's theme and ideas, and artists to hire in order to portray these themes.
   
6. Fundraiser brainstorming & implementation - Artists need to be paid, money needs to be raised for the site to function. Events and projects need to be formulated in order to fund for all of this. See the "Fundraising ideas" topic for more info on this and to contribute.
   
7. Chat and forum art** - Once funds are secured, they need to begin going toward avatar sets as well as forum and chat illustrations. This includes (but is not limited to) pose sets, rooms, maps, forum banners, guardian art, forum emoticons, various forum buttons, advertisement, premades/characters/merch for ongoing fundraising, species profiles, and so on. Donations for these are accepted and encouraged.
   
8. Beta testing - As soon as, say, 5 sets and 10 rooms are secured, beta testing may go underway. X amount of slots are to be opened to allow trusted subordinates to join the chat. Around this time, the forum is to hopefully be displayed to the public for open registration. For this the forum must be finished and ready to be unveiled.
   
9. Final steps - Once beta testing is underway, we are to begin preparing for official opening. Quota for pose sets and amount of rooms needs to be met, administration team trained and functional, and fundraising for conservation efforts ready to go and be presented to the public.
   
   

**Chat and forum art, as well as lore, are an ongoing process and do not have a solidified spot on the timeline. Many may be completed before or after any given point. QUALITY is valued over  QUANTITY.
